Light is a Paintbrush
|
|
Light is a paintbrush creating a picture with
one broad stroke. Falling light on the interplay
between land and sea changes a scene with every
blink of the eye. Looking 360 degrees from
Mt. Whitney’s 14,495-foot peak or across the
gently lapping waves to the slowly sinking horizon
into the vast sea, strolling through the lodge-pole
pine forest scented by an early morning
spring shower-all these firsthand experiences
have put me in touch with nature.
Nature is full of surprises, wonder and grandeur.
The rich, varied kaleidoscope presented from
awesome red-wood forests to a parade of ants
hauling food to their underground estates, piques
my curiosity and offers unique opportunity for
exploration with my lens.
Watch the direction and ever-changing light to
capture these special moments. Sometimes a few
steps is all that is needed to capture side or back
light to make a image special.
